I think we know the Espee planned for just this sort of scenario to occur judging by the way it started to equip its locomotives (not the Cotton Belt, however) in the late sixties and early seventies with full rear light packages and rear mounted snow plows. I really like the way their units looked all "decked out". To me it said that the Espee meant business with a no nonsense get it done kind of an attitude.
