I worked for a BN welding crew, but I'm not familiar with the gear they are using here. The man next to the passing train watching for anything hanging from a car. Once saw a broken band that would have wiped out anyone standing that close. Anyone tell us if the green pants are a safety feature? I always wore black jeans to hide the creosote and dirt...a habit I picked up on an old Northern Pacific section crew. Some of the jeans I saw could have deflected a .45 bullet!
