Luke, I don't understand the plume of spray in the middle of this great shot. Surely it doesn't come from the creek going into the river...does it?

The spray is from the fountain on the right. The pier belonged to Lynchburg's first covered bridge which dates back before the Civil War. Apparently its the tallest fountain on the east coast.
