Nice photo, Mike. But here we go again with multi-buck, high technology, fuel effecient locomotives, with "after thought" "by-the-ways" scrawled in magic marker! On conductors consol, and on right overhead. What gives? There has to be some logical explaination, or else we all dig in and donate Brother Label Makers!

I agree with the previous comment. With all the money they paid for the unit, you'd think they could get that stuff painted on when it was being built. On top of that 60I is very dirty; I guess painting and cleaning locos happens only on the outside!

I wouldn't complain too much about these "modern" locomotives. Most have reliable heating and cooling, and offer safety advantages over the old units. They may not have the best looks, but they are better machines than any early diesel.
