I think it's great that people bring out their vintage vehicles to these shoots, but I always get a really uncomfortable feeling when they stop them so close to the rails. In real life at unprotected crossings you don't ever see anyone stopping closer than 10 feet, and 20 or more is the norm. Its even more unsettling in this photo because of the captured motion of the train. I realize its much better for composing photographs but it still gives me an uneasy feeling. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to diss the shot itself, which is truly wonderful. And art is always memorable when it imparts shivers down your spine, is it not?
