Aparently, the camera shows the big guys in Omaha a live feed of everything around the tunnel. If someone walks near the tracks, a loud speaker tells the trespasser to stand clear in multiple languages.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have heard (from a dispatcher in Omaha) that the new camera bridge has nothing to do with UP. Apparently it houses Department of Homeland Security cameras. UP already had (and has) cameras at East Portal and West Portal that DS-82 uses to observe the area.
