Lack of dynamic brake blister? After all those years in dynamic brake country, that still looks odd to me, maybe to you as well.

It has no ditch lights.... Strictly for yard service.

Definitely an R/C unit. Yellow lights and antenna plates above each side of the cab. KCS has the same features on its R/C switchers.

I'd have to say it's an old MoPac non dynamic brake SD40-2 that is now a R/C yard engine.
