This is one of the few places on the GTW that hasn't seen much change over the years. The only physical changes that have happened at Gaines since this photo was taken would be the addition of a chain-link fence between the park and depot and the diminishing presence of GTW power. Even the mechanical bell on the crossing signal pictured still survives.
