And yet another from Michigan, endless scenic opportunities! Nicely captured, Jim!

True. If only there were more photo opportunities in the form of more frequent trains. You will notice that Jim had to photograph the same train several times at different locations. Again, thanks Jim.

Thanks, Jeff and Mitch. I drove over 150 miles on snow-covered roads to get the three shots of this train that I have on RP (I do have a couple more, but they are for my own collection). And that's what I love about railfanning/photography...it's often an adventure!

Looking back on this photo nearly 14 years after it’s posting and reading Jeff’s comment (no offense intended). “…Jim had to photograph the same train several times…” I’d say he had the pleasure of photographing the same train several times. I’d love to be able to shoot this locomotive today. A photo on Pinterest led me to Jim’s body of work here on Railpictures, and I’m certainly glad it did!

(No offense taken John) Since this time - and now knowing Jim personally - I can attest that he is indeed an amazing professional photographer (with several other local ones he's mentored). He has a true passion for the hobby and thinks outside of the box!
