Did you know? Via 6300 is now the shop switcher in Vancouver B.C.

I think the Vancouver Shops 6300 was originally another VIA unit that was renumbered...

Whoops! 6300 was rebuilt in 1983 from from VIA 6529, but you are correect in that 6300 is the shop switcher and has been that number for a long, long time.

VIA 6300 is the last active F unit in VIA Rail's roster and has recently been donated to a museum in BC. It will be repainted and put on display.
