I understand that important artifacts must be preserved for future generations. But which teaches more about steam, this picture (which is quite well done) of a stuffed and mounted locomotive or this picture of 'The City of Truro' in steam at speed (http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=230963). Just a thought. I'm thankful that The National Railway Museum lets a few of the loco's out to prance around and I'm also thankful for the railway groups who restore them and the many photographers who share their pictures with us.
