This view gives a good look at the GMD/London-style nose door that opens outward, instead of inward, like the EMD/LaGrange product. The GMD design was less prone to being breached in an accident, and also was of simpler construction than the EMD model, which had to use double-jointed hinges to clear the floor inside the nose, due to the slope of the nose. And, I agree that the EMD design has it all over the GE in style...and paint scheme.
