Hey thanks for sharing this. Now everyone can see what a "deckless cab" REALLY means. After being on both hand fired and stoker locomotives, I can appreciate a shorter distance between the coal pile in the tender and the firebox on a hand bomber. Still, as an engineer working all day sandwiched between the boiler and cab wall looks a little too cozy!

Ah yes the deckless cab. Very similar to Tweetsie Railroad's #12. It is a shorter distance to the coal but acts as an oven in the summer.
