The Budd-built car this C-class 0-8-0 is switching, appears to be one of the Pennsy's, 1939-built, "South Wind' cars, which were distinguished by a taller window than any other Red Lion product. Note that the letterboard area is shallower as a result. The single-piece vestibule door (no dutch door,) and skirt without corrugations, are also unique to the group. Why would a "South Wind" (all-coach, Chicago-Florida streamliner) car be in Altoona? Since the visible window arrangement suggests something other than a coach, and by 1953 the "Wind" carrried sleepers, I think it is the displaced coach-lounge-observation car, most likely being used on a fan trip, and being turned for the trip back to its point of origin.
