Happy memories from your files, Graham. I too can remember 'Scotsman' when she was presented (as nearly as possible) in original condition. She might have been "rescued for the nation" but her current external appearance teaches new generations precisely nothing, or even worse that history can be 'modified' to suit a purpose. Gets off soap box and returns to enjoying your fine picture.
