A great shot of some cool looking, active cabs there David, thanks! I noticed something, the NS uses 555 to designate cabooses and then the last three digits for their number, this is similar to the Santa Fe (and now BNSF on their inherited Santa Fe way cars) who uses 999 to designate Way Cars, then the last three digits for their number. While NS puts the entire six digit number on the cupola's, Santa Fe/BNSF just puts the Way Car's three digit number on the the cupola.

Ah, if these cabs could talk...nice golden light to kick off your 400th shot and very appropriate. Got a story to tell you about a string of cabs along the Ho one night. Thx.
