Its quite amazing. EMD struck apon a most rugged and proven formula for their locos easily recoginosed the world over! As this domestic American loco sits before me with its hood off, I can instantly recognise the v12 645 engine, woodward governor, michiana oil filter, temperature switches, all which look exactly as they would if we were looking at one of our own GM built machines here in New Zealand. The same can probably be said in many countries. Well done GM / EMD - Oh, and great photo.
