Awesome catch Ed! I have wanted to get a train there in the worst way for a long time now.

Excellent perspective, Ed. I like the "old school" bright future" painted GE's leading the charge.

Nice shot, whenever I get a chance to model railroad this looks like a fun and challenging crossing to duplicate.

Thanks for the kind comments, all. James, there are two bright futures on the other end too, 268 and 218. They can't turn at the loader, so they use two AC44CW's on each end. 80 cars on the train. I live in this area, and when I was small, years ago, my mom would take us to Cumberland, MD, and we would board at the little station there. A nice clean pacific and two cars made the train. In later years, I used to watch, from this spot, a WM GP9 in circus colors lead out on the track to the right, going to the big paper mill at Luke MD to shift cars there.

Even with the big power and the newer road traffic, this feels like a timeless shot. I love the flags and the houses in the background. Great shot, Ed.
