What a great catch. I simply can't tell if this was cut down from a damaged caboose or built in house from something else. This has a pair of benches running lengthwise on its porch, and the porch end has two riveted areas that the other end does not have. The shop forces have used highway truck lights and reflectors on the sides and cabin end. The porch end has it's brake wheel stand mounted crosswise. The cabin end has marker brackets not found on the porch end of the cabin. This is probably a transfer caboose. Both cabin end roof overhangs look to be welded on fabrications. This caboose just begs to be modeled. I have printed out this photo for my modeling idea file. Also note that the trucks are coil sprung and do not appear to be swing motion type.

I agree with the other comment. Having kit-bashed two N scale transfer cabooses,I was looking for another idea. This one looks like a lot of fun. Thanks Sid for grabbing a shot of this one.
