This photo is just awesome and not just for the superb composition Chris-B has captured. It a still image with a story and built-in dueling sound effects, canine versus the Iron Horse. Couldn't have picked a better four-legged subject too, a Husky in the snow! How many of us have heard dogs howl in unison at the first sound of an ambulance, fire truck or police car siren? Guess steam whistles have the same effect!
Love the leafless trees casting winter shadows on the vibrant wood building siding. It's almost like those two smaller trees are giving off a spooky giant-sized shadow. Great job Christopher.

Huskies & Malamutes - with the exception of Yellow, Golden & Chocolate Labs it doesn't get much better than that !!!

What a wonderful picture you captured here. I've always been a steam fan and own both a Huskie & Malamute and know hoe easily they can be tipped off to howling. Sadly living in Alabama the girls seldom see snow and have never heard or seen a steamer.

Also consider, a dog's hearing is much more sensitive than our's so you could imagine how loud the whistle is for this dog. PCA vote from me
