The UP would use a pair of these 3500 series WP units to haul their business train to the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans every Friday on the MP in Louisiana. Sunday would be the return trip.

Great shot! I was in Texarkana during the UP/WP/MP 1982 merger, when the WP GP40's were reassigned to Forth Worth-El Paso (because they were DB equipped), having been bumped by modern UP 6-axle power (SD40-2's) from the Feather River route.
