Big Jacks in their twillight, still hauling the hottest trains on the railroad. Mighty Fine, Barry.

Interesting narrative, Barry. Yes, that was a lot of fun - dispatching Wyoming. I believe I had a relief job that handled Laramie to Rawlins on Sunday first trick back then, and there was also a Rick Lewis who may have been in the office at that time. In any event, one got into the momentum of the traffic - tapping out station, switch and signal numbers and trying to keep everyone moving while mindful of those priorities. It was, and is, a neat piece of RR between Cheyenne and Laramie, with lots of options for running trains. Of course, this was in a time when there were de-centralized offices and things were more down homey - this train would be going by your office window in about 50 minutes and there was a palpable reality to it all.
