Wow! I remember seeing this loco on my family beach trips from Charlotte. Any word on her current status?

I shot this S6 in Monroe yard 3 years ago. I didn't know it stayed local. Cool!

I agree this is a former Alco S2, and while the carbody is as built this unit is re-powered as indicated by the front radiator and side grilles. There is a complete lack of an exhaust stack on the hood top in the normal Alco location. The new exhaust is located just behind the left sand fill hatch.
