Oh Man! I ran 520-521 on the Strathroy Sub when they were brand new under going acceptance testing by GMD before delivery to GO. I just read also VIA has bought a number or the retired units. Time marches on.

Rumour is VIA may have bought at least 5. No word on the numbers yet. There were 6 at the other end of the yard however...

Will be interesting to see what happens to these units. I doubt many will go to scrap, as they have almost no mileage on them compared to a second hand SD40. But they do have that body limitation when it comes to selling them to freight roads.
