I agree with the above comment, this new regulation is the worst thing to happen in my fifty years of railfanning. We must protect our freedom of photography in public places. I did notice that large numbers of United States citizens exercised this right of photography by taking photos of our new President and his family traveling to Washington, DC. That trip was on AmTrak. How strange that this new regulation comes shortly after President Obama's continuation of the tradition of a train ride to his new job. Thanks to Craig for this important posting and for standing up for his rights !

Well, it's obvious with this shot that Amtrak's CEO approves of taking pictures on station platforms. :-) Nice catch, Craig.
