Switchin the hood doors around is ok, look what it did for the Rock Island. It worked for RI, should be good for the NS.

Good eye! I shot this engine 2 weeks ago and never noticed.

Looks like it had a electrical cab fire at one point in the past... all the doors have been replaced, but the paint does not line up obviously. :) Look close at the painting on the carbody structure and the door latches and hinges arrangement to see how I got this conclusion.

This unit recently had a APU installed (the small box on the left of the hood), in the process of installing the APU the hood door arangement is changed. On a normal NS Dash 9 none of the lettering is effected by this change, however on this unit it messed up the lettering.

Needs a repaint and update anyway. This is the 40th year of OLS 1972-2012. Give the modelers a need for new decals.
