What a beautiful sight! I fondly remember riding the Turboliners between ALB and NYP when I was a kid; thanks for posting a photo of one set in its prime, George. The last time I saw these they were in horribly decrepit condition at Super Steel Schenectady, being prepared for the ultimately doomed reconstruction effort.

My comment is almost a repeat of the first one. I, too, rode in that very trainset many times, between Syracuse and Utica, in the early 80's, when I was also a young lad. It was quick and fast, quiet riding, and the large windows offered a great view. Thanks for the posting, Mr. Hamlin.

My turn to ride them was in the Chi-Detroit corridor to visit my parents in Michigan. I remember them being a noisy ride.

My chance to ride a Rohr was during a Boston Railroad Enthusiasts trip to Albany. I video taped a tour of the Renselear shops while riding in one of these. I will upload it when I start doing video postings. Thanks for the memories Mr. Hamlin.
