This is a real find ! I have been searching for my oldest copy of The Diesel Spotters Guide, but haven't found it yet. Fifty tons seams about right, But a GE, I don't think so. Whitcome had the name on the front grille, it could be a Davenport, but my best guess would be H.K. Porter Company which built Industrial steamers and some early diesels. Could someone from that part of Pennsylvania visit and ask. The coupler cut levers have been modified and there were probably foot boards on the pilots when built. That cab just doe not say GE to me. What ever this is, someone is cares enough to be doing major repairs to it, as the top of the rear hood is not in place. Also there is what appears to be some sort of open fantrip ridding car behind the locomotive.
