Wha Hoo! That's what I'm talking about! From someone green with envy of everyone there, great shot!

This picture looks authentic. It could be a posed shot from 1949 that Nickel Plate and C&O parent Alleghany Corporation would have circulated through the AAR photo archive. How many of us remember that?

Looks like Train Fest 2009 is still in progress...Glad you're were there to capture this terrific scene. Even with technology (color photography, digital cameras, etc), I still like the black and white photos the best. It shows a lot of detail. I guess I'm so used to seeing steam locomotive photos in the history books in black and white that is just doesn't seem right if a steam locomotive photo is in color. Great series of photos Darryl!

Wonderfully done Darryl...love the sepia tone look to your image. My vote for PCA

Thanks everyone for all the kind words and the PCA votes. This charter was everything I expected and more, so kudos to Lerro Productions for pulling off a winner!

Good call on tinting the image to a warm tone black & white. It ads a very inviting and friendly aspect to the image which is why I believe so many people, including myself, are attracted to your shot. It also helps that it doesn't suffer from being over lit and over produced as so many of these types of images do. Reminds me of the old Agfa Brovia warm tone papers we used to print on in the 70's and 80's. - Steve Crise
