Neat shot of some Rocky Mountain Steel Rail, that's interesting that they are cutting it because at a recent CSX relay of rail in Alabama, they just cut through the road and kept the rail continuous through the crossing.

I thought you couldn't torch cut rail if you wanted to run over it at more than 10 MPH. Neat photo none the less.

When it comes time to install the new rail they will cut off the torched ends with a rail saw and weld in a stick of rail that will go in the crossing.
