Just an FYI on this, this unit is offically the GN 1914 now, it's not somebody in the diesel shop having fun. Apparently somewhere else on the system another engine got re-numbered the BNSF 1914, and this one drew the short straw and got re-renumbered to the GN 1914, even the RCO talker is programmed to say "GN 1914". When the error was first discovered the GN was painted on, but the RCO would still say "BNSF", so we weren't allowed to use it as an RCO unit until the pit re-programmed it to say "GN".

Why wouldn't they simply give it a new number, rather than change the reporting marks to GN?
