Another superb view from this rarely used viewpoint. You were lucky to get a train early enough to get the light right on a clear morning.

That brings back many happy memories. It's a nice walk up to that spot isn't it? The Golden Lion, below the 5th and 6th coaches, is well worth a visit, and do lovely roast dinners.

How wonderful landscapes human built... The track simply divide the town in two, it`s so charmy! I think that the sound of the passing train is heard in all town!

Fantastic viewpoint Steve. Tremendous photo which captures the splendour of Settle and the surrounding area. I too have enjoyed the delights of 'Ye Old Naked Man' once or twice!
