The timing on this to get the sun right above the railhead but under the fuel tank is insane! Depending on the speed of the train, did you have to squat or quickly adjust your tripod last minute?

If I remember correctly, the sun started out directly behind the train, and sank down below the cars as it went by. I knew this train had a rear DPU, as it only had one lead unit. I am rarely ever this lucky with silhouettes.
