My company inspects and repairs turntables. I will keep this photo in mind and remember to pack scuba gear if we ever get a call from Peru!

It is not uncommon to see turntables being turned by manually. There were turntables in India too, on the 1000 mm gauge turned manually by the loco pilots. Today turntables are non- existent in many countries since steam locos were the ones which required turn tables the most.
