Wonderful picture, caught my eye immediately as an error thinking it was NS and not N&W, obviously after reading your description I realized my error in judgment. Nice of you to share this...

Black N&W Geeps may not have been the most photogenic power, but this is really a bittersweet evocation of a time in my personal life when work, marriage and other "adult responsibilities" began to absorb most of the free time I had previously spent photographing similar scenes around central Indiana.

Great shot Jim. Reminds me of some of my first railfanning adventures watching black NW Geeps head west thru Hoopeston, IL on FP-65.

I would wager a guess that the trailing unit is GP35 1307.
