That is a great photo Steve - was it taken on colour negative or transparency film. Thank you for your good wishes which I reciprocate.

A beautiful photo Steve, and thanks for the posting. Are you aware that you can now photograph the former 7040 right here in the good old U.S.A. Well that is possible because Mr. Rick Corman of Nicholasville, Kentucky had 7040 totally rebuilt in China, shipped to New Orleans, then transported by rail to Lexington, Kentucky and further refined by removing her smoke deflectors and adding new styling features, and a new paint scheme. Now numbered 2008 she has been steamed three times and run twice during 2009. 2008 now calls R.J. Corman's Lexington Yard home and while stored inside to protect her is broughe out and run on special occasions. Please go to the short line section of Railpictures
