An excellent example of a Canadian National rebuild experiment that didn’t meet expectations (7100-7107). The “Sweep” (switcher+geep) married a recycled GP-9 radiator, generator, traction motor blowers and shortened hood to an existing SW1200RS frame and running gear. The running gear confusing in this shot because she is riding on GM trucks (Blombergs as some call them) taken in 1987. But in 313664 posted a few days ago, she’s riding on Flexicoils, taken in 1998. Since these units were originally built on lightweight Flex, why the switch from Blom to Flex?

Maybe they needed the GM trucks for a GMD-1 config change? They switched them from A1A to BB's way back when. Funny lil' creature though. It looks like a shortened NF-210 with dynamic brakes. Hah!
