The plaque in the center says "Remember The Maine" and is a commemorative for the USS Maine, destroyed on February 15, 1898 in Havana Harbour near the end of the Spanish-American war. The memorials to the sides list the names of the 266 men who lost their lives when the forward section was obliterated. This is one of many memorials to The Maine and her loss. Another is its main mast erected in Arlington Cemetary. This is a breathtaking view of the memorial and the bridge that overlooks it.

Phenomenal composition, Dan. Don't know how I missed it the first time around. Look forward to more of your scenes from the Northeast.
