Posted by Dragos Anoaica on March 23, 2010  Only 6 units were built in Switzerland (060-DA-001 to 060-DA-006). The rest of 2483 (!) were built by Electroputere Craiova, with Diesel engines made in Resita and bogies made by Caromet Caransebes. CFR had 1404 locomotives of this type and more than half of them are still in service in Romania (some sold to private companies).
