222 was an oddity with the Phase III lettering on Phase II paint. The paint on the delivered scheme of the F40s didn't hold up that well, some had the red completely worn off, so these F40s underwent "nose only" repaints from the cab-door forward. 231 received this treatment, and as evidenced by 222, it received the nose repaint but with the new-phase decal.
