This commemorative wrap is almost perfect, unfortunately the Subway advertisement sort of ruins the beautiful wrap job. Still neat looking car, but if the other half of the coach had been wrapped with the National Train Day part, this car would be really awesome, great picture nonetheless!

That's one way to help Amtrak pay it's way, sell advertisement. Can you imagine every car painted or wrapped differently based on who paid for the advertising rights? Kind of like NASCAR painted each car.

Maybe Amtrak could only afford 2/3 of the car or they ran out of blue paint.

I've just NEVER understood how it is that you can see OUT through this stuff. But then, IF you're reading the paper or working on your laptop, I guess it dosn't matter.

To me it's graffiti. It's a train, not a rolling billboard.

You can see out because the part applied to the windows has lots of small holes in it. Certainly distorts your view, but it doesn't block it completely. I'm surprised they even bothered covering all the windows since only three panes even have an image from the ad on them.

Great Shot I hope to maybe see it here in Illinois. To Marty Bernard: It is not graffiti is to celebrate trains and thats how some railroads also make money.

I don't know about y'all, but up here in Salinas we're having a run day at the Monterey and Salinas Valley Railroad & Historical Society. We're located right next to the Salinas Amtrak station.
