Good shot Ed. I like seeing the inside of any shop. This one certainly is tight. The shot also shows just how high 734' boiler is. That cylinder saddle sure is tall. I imagine it was done that way to get the firebox over the rear wheels and alleviate the need for a trailing truck and lengthening of the loco. BTW, what's the story on the other engine?

After viewing the photo, I see that Dennis already made the same comments I was going to make. Thanks for sharing your photo of steam locomotive maintenance. These type of shots always interest me and please do elaborate about the locomotive next to her.

Thank you fellas for your comments. If you look up my photo 322315, there is more info about this locomotive. It's my understanding that the restoration is being done on a pay as you go basis.
