I'm going to assume this scene still looks the same or worse? Any news on resuming rail service?

It looks a little better now. The organization restoring it has made some progress in its restoration. As for restoration of services, more of the line in Montgomery county has just been given the green light to be "temporarily" turned into a trail, with the rails sold for scrap. I believe it will happen someday, just not someday soon.
