Interesting signal setup. I guess that signal does not give authority to occupy the siding. ABS setup?

The light is most likely used as a route indicator for the switch. Green for lined normal, Red or Yellow lined for the siding. We have one on a sub I work on.

The signal indicates if the spring switch is functioning and in proper position (it is white when functioning properly).

The switch is bad-order and cannot be used for run-arounds. Look at the facing point on the outside rail... the point is completely peeled around from the looks of it. The point-gap is what caught my eye at first. Frog may have some damage too, just sitting low compared to everything else--maybe just a tamp-up will do.
