Very nice shot, and thanks for posting! Moderately small point, though: it did not become SOU 4501, it was build as SOU 4501 in 1911, retired by Southern in 1948, and bought off the Southern dead line by the K&T. When the K&T Dieselized, Paul Merriman (co-founder of TVRM) bought it. Southern (later NS) chartered it from Merriman.

Thanks Mr. Redmann for posting that info about Southern. TVRM purchased it for around $5K. Her rebuild is on schedule. I haven't seen her run since 1994. They hope to have her on her wheels by the end of the year. I am guessing around Februrary of 2013. My wife and I have done some sanding and cleaning on her. It will be great to see her once again under her own steam and running with SOU 630 again.
