That's because the SD40-2s are solid, reliable, hard-working engines and many railroads have had trouble with the 90MACs. The UP had a large deadline of 'em in Kansas City.

The 90's have been for sale on CP's site for what seems an eternity. I wonder how much they'd go for? Time will tell.
