Great stuff Ed! Three elephant style Speed Lettered units of the "new SP" brought together from three different pasts. The rebuilt SP 8579 started life far away with SD45 flares as the CNW 968 a little further East of the Rockies. The Rio Grande T-2 of course is right at home. The rear SP 85XX repainted SD40T-2 probably worked all over the Sunset route, California to Oregon mountain ranges and Overland/Donner route before finally claiming the Rockies too.
