Actually I believe it was an official sticker. The same sticker was placed on GP38 #2002 (Trains All-American Diesel) and GP40-2 #6063 (ex-B&O GM50). When it was retired (after serving as a MofW "pumpkin", the #2002 did make it to the museum where it was restored as the B&O #3802.
