Great Photo. Do you know why the PRR positioning lights were placed here and why they are the only survivor's today?

Ian - At one time, a large portion of the Union RR was protected by position-light signals. They were used the whole way from J Tower (Duquesne) to North Bessemer. This is the only set that they never got around to replacing.
