| I've used this photograph as my desktop background photo ever since it first appeared on this website. It's simply the best train photo ever taken. Many are the times that someone passing by my desk (either at home or at work) have asked where the photo was taken, whether I took it (I wish!), and if it was real! Many conversations with strangers have begun with them noticing and taking interest in it...a great conversation starter. I didn't realize how many model railroaders and railfans were around me every day until I put this picture on my computer screen. Indeed, this picture has been worth many thousands of words! Congratulations to Mr. Larson on what I consider the greatest shot of a train ever seen. Good eye, Mr. Larson!| Posted by Russ House on June 13, 2007 | |

| Thanks, Russ. I, too, have used it for my wallpapers at home and work. And have several times projected it onto the large viewing screen in our conference rooms with the lights out. I can almost imagine being there again, smelling the mountain air, hearing the rushing water, and the rumble of the locomotives. I'm glad you, and the many others, enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks again.| Posted by on June 14, 2007 | |

| Having the rolling stock go into the tunnel and then reappearing on the other side is a nice touch.
